We are proud to host this year’s twinning in Odense from June 2nd to 5th 2011.
The event will take place on various locations on the lovely island of Fyn – the heart of Denmark with Odense being the 3rd largest city of Denmark – a true heaven – where pirates come to party…
Day program
Thursday June 2nd
*Pre-twinning: Arrival possible from Wednesday June 1st
*10:00 –14:00 Odense ZOO: Travel from the African Savannah to the ice cap of Antarctic. Meet Igor – the tiger king of Siberia and feed the manatee (sea cow) of the tropic Amazon waters.
Official program starts:
14:00 – 17:00 Meet&Greet at “OBH Gruppen” Engineering Group:
Welcoming and joining up with hosts. You get a taste of classic Danish “Smørrebrød” (open sandwich).
17:00 - ? Quality time with your host.
Friday June 3rd
09:00 – 12:00 Official reception at Odense City Hall - including lunch.
12:00 – 15:00 City cultural orienteering race. Socialize – and win a prize!
18:00 – 24:00 Gala dinner and 50th anniversary at Odd Fellow Mansion. Bring your tuxedo and gala dress.
Special guest: The King is alive and back from Vegas…
Exclusive: The legendary Danish JCI celebrity “DJ Lennard” heats up the dance floor.
Saturday June 4th
All guests pack their bags and bring their luggage for Pirate Island! “Rrrrrr”
10:00 – 12:00 Visit at Nårup Savværk (Sawmill) Danish furniture manufacture. Get inspired and spend a dime…
12:00 – 13:00 Lunch
13:00 – 15:30 Visit at “Vedstaarup Teglværk” (brickyard). Experience an unconventional combination of bricks, architecture and a beautiful collection of rare classic cars of all eras; “007” Bond Cars etc.
15:30 – 16:00 Walk through quick sand to Pirate island - only the fierce get through… “Rrrrrrr”
16:30 – 18:00 Business Meeting (2 representatives from each chapter)
(Meanwhile the others shine their hooks, polish their wooden legs and sharpen their swords)
19:00 - ? Pirate Feast - Win the prize for “best dressed up chapter” “Rrrrrr”
(Sleeping accommodation is bunk together “camp style” “Zzzzzzz”)
Sunday June 5th
9:00 – 11:00 Ship ahoy Brunch on the island
(For those required, there is transportation to Odense Railway Station)
